Playing
billiards and eating well at St-Lambert's Resto-Billiard
|
With the La Bande Au
Coin Resto-Billiard, Alain Lafrenière and Ann Bruyière
have just launched a new concept : great billards and good food in
a warm and enchanting environment. La
Bande Au Coin, at 49 Green Street in St-Lambert, is a billiard
room and restaurant all-in-one : an original concept praised by its
clientele.
At La Bande Au Coin,
you will find local as well as provincial tournaments regrouping several
billiards and snooker federations. Different types of leagues, including
feminin, snooker and 9-Ball, offer challenges for players of all categories.
This Resto-Billiard has been deeply transformed to accomodate its clientele. Its easily accessible location is now suited with an enchanting scenery and soothing atmosphere... nothing to do with the old joint that occupied the premisses these past 20 years. The owners went to all means for customers to feel at home and enjoy their stay.
As you step inside La Bande Au Coin, you quickly grasp the originality of the formula : a marriage of great billiards and excellent food. La Bande Au Coin offers exquisit meals that may be accompanied with wine or beer, a well chosen musical background, good service from a friendly staff and, of course, quality billiard tables. Comfortable chairs, lunch-counters, 24 billiard and snooker tables and a giant TV screen... this is what a client is entitled to in this billiard domain. Billiard freaks can play all they want as they have a meal, while others can simply play one game and then sit to enjoy the excellent home-made food.
A few examples of what is on the menu are : shepherd's pie, beef bourguignon, lasagna and smoked meat. From Monday to Friday, a "4 to 7" is offered for business or family groups in quest for a place to get together and play. This picture allows La Bande Au Coin to claim loud and clear its distinction and originality. The establishment can boast being one of Quebec's last genuine billiard rooms.
Thanks to his association with several billiards and snooker federations, the establishment can offer quality lessons to beginners as well as to higher ranked players. Provincial, local and amateur tournaments will please all types. This well reputated house welcomes players of all ages in conformity with its mission statement. To top it off, the owners, Alain Lafrenière and Ann Bruyère, are warm and friendly people.
